2nd Sauna Open 2026 – Bringing the Heat to the Ice!
Finland’s hottest curling tournament, Sauna Open, returns for its second edition on 30 October–1 November 2026. Join us for a relaxed competition atmosphere, great company, and of course – a true löyly‑spirited sporting celebration!
18 teams accepted
The tournament follows the traditional “Any four curlers” principle, meaning team composition is completely open. Bring your friends, family, colleagues – anyone! The most important things are good vibes and the desire to play.
Open to domestic and international teams
Sauna Open welcomes teams from Finland and around the world. The event offers a perfect opportunity to combine competitive curling with a laid‑back atmosphere – with a Finnish twist. The curling hall’s sauna will be heated throughout the tournament, staying true to the event’s name. It’s the perfect place to watch other games between your own matches.
Format and schedule
- Tournament format: Schenkel system
- Each team is guaranteed five (5) games
Entry Fee
460 € (incl. VAT) per team of four
Additional players: 50 € (incl. VAT) per person
Banquet
Saturday evening banquet at the curling hall is included in the entry fee
Registration
A maximum of 18 teams can participate. Registration for the tournament is handled through the Finnish Curling Association’s website. Your team’s place is confirmed once the entry fee has been paid via Hyvinkää Curling’s online store.
Registration opens on NOTE THE NEW DATE AND TIME 19 August 2026 at 18:00 and closes on 27 September 2026 at 23:59. All registrations for Finnish teams are submitted through HYVINKÄÄN CURLING NEW WEBPAGES, where you will also find detailed instructions. The same site provides results and statistics during the event.
Registration is already open for international teams and teams that were placed on the waiting list for the 2026 Finnish Bonspiel. These teams may register by contacting info@hyvinkaancurling.fi.
