The Singles Series is an individual competition where players collect Singles Points throughout the season. Simply participating earns you one point, and additional points are awarded based on game results (explained below).
At the end of the season, the player with the highest total score is crowned Hyvinkää Singles Champion and receives a one‑night accommodation gift card for two at Hotel Sveitsi.
Game Format
- Teams are formed on-site by random draw.
- Sheet positions rotate between ends.
- Each session consists of two four‑end curling games, played either as team curling or doubles curling.
Participation Requirements
To join the Singles Series, players must be members of:
- Hyvinkää Curling Club, and
- The Finnish Curling Association
Game Days
- Mondays, 18:00–20:00
Registration and payment are completed through the event page.
Participation Fees
Single Session
- 10 € / adult
- 7 € / junior (under 21 at the start of the season)
Full Season
- 75 € / adult
- 40 € / junior (under 21 at the start of the season)
Scoring System
The Singles Series is played using skins scoring, where points are earned by winning ends:
Winning an End
- The team with the hammer must score at least two points to win the end.
- The non‑hammer team must steal at least one point to win the end.
- If neither condition is met, no team wins the end, and the available points carry over to the next end.
Points per End
- Winning 1 end → 1 point
- Winning 2 ends → 2 points
- Winning 3 ends → 3 points
- Winning 4 ends → 6 points
Singles Points (Individual Ranking)
- Participating in a game day → 1 Singles Point
- Winning a game → 2 Singles Points
- Tied game → 1 Singles Point for all players
Championship Title
At the end of the season, all Singles Points are added together. The player with the highest total is crowned:
Hyvinkää Curling Singles Champion 2026–2027 and receives a Hotel Sveitsi gift card (1 night for 2 persons).
